Chic storage space solutions from IKEA

Monday, 21 February 2011 10:41 AM

Bring tidiness and calm to your bedroom while enhancing its looks with the new range of under-bed storage from IKEA. Storage boxes are available from just £4.99, so you don’t need to break the bank to free up some more bedroom space.

The space under the bed is often used as a dumping area for winter clothes and suitcases, but without proper drawers it can be hard to pick out an item when you need it.

To solve this problem, IKEA’s under-bed storage range features several drawers with wheels or castors, meaning you can easily slide out the box you want without scrabbling around under the bed.

The range starts at £4.99 for the plain white Dilling storage box, or for £19.99 you can go for the more stylish Degernes storage box, which features a rustic wicker-style design.

Easy-access drawers start at £39 for the Odda storage unit on castors, or go for a full bedroom overhaul with the IKEA Mandal bedframe with built-in storage for £239.

There is arguably no other building that epitomises the rural dream in quite the same way as the cottage. These quaint little houses are what most people imagine when they picture life in a country village and they really do make wonderful homes. One of the best things about cottages is their historical feel and the sense that you are stepping back into a more simple and peaceful bygone era.
